Delphos is a city of roughly 7,000 that sits right in the middle of Allen, Putnam and Van Wert counties. Delphos is the home of two high schools: Delphos Jefferson and Delphos St. John’s (private). The Jefferson Wildcats participate in the Northwest Conference (NWC) while the St. John’s Blue Jays are active in the Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC). For Delphos’ smaller stature, it contains many parks: Stadium, Waterworks, Leisure, Garfield and Suever. Stadium Park is where both sports teams play football and is also the home to tennis and basketball courts, baseball fields, a swimming pool and a large playground.
Fun fact: Delphos’ motto is “America’s Friendliest City.”
