Kenton is a small city (around 8,200 people) 60 miles northwest of Columbus and 30 miles east of Lima. It’s home to Kenton City Schools, better known as the Wildcats in high school sports, where they participate in the Western Buckeye League (WBL). Kenton is also home to a special education school named after the city’s founder, Simon Kenton.
As the county seat in Hardin County, Kenton has a lot of attractions to keep residents entertained: the Hardin County Historical Museum, the Kenton Theater, Hi-Road Drive-in and more.
Fun fact: Kenton was home to Jacob Parrott, the first recipient of the Medal of Honor.
